Quality friendships only. Traveling every chance we get. Saying no to the consumer mentality. Daily family reading time. No access to social media. Limited and intentional screen time. Hiking and spending time in nature. High expectations. Child-led learning. Rock solid sibling relationships. Age appropriate input in family decisions. Happy not back to school for us! We homeschool yea Happy not back to school for us! We homeschool year round but we have certain seasons that are more intense and fall (and spring) are usually the ones where we have the most going on. Here’s a quick look into our Monday as we kick off our fall season✌🏻My son started at local microschool today. He is signed up for a few in person classes this fall so we biked to the school. He is taking engineering, website design, mock trial and a few other things.The girls crushed their academics in about 2 hours this morning and then we met some new friends at a creek for some exploring and time outside.We came home, had lunch and the girls did a variety of things including independent reading, practicing their self-selected instruments, art (they are leaning a new technique called texture art).Big brother came home and did some chess and then read for a few hours.Then we had sports (soccer and lacrosse this season) and while watching her sister play soccer my youngest practiced her creative writing and did some independent reading.Home for dinner, more reading all around, and bed.Homeschooling is just an extension of living your life alongside your kids 🙌🏻#homeschooling #secularhomeschool #alternativeeducation
