What books “radicalized” you to be a decent human? What books “radicalized” you to be a decent human? Tell me below in the comments ⬇️
Reading is resistance.Because a well-read child Reading is resistance.Because a well-read child is harder to manipulate.Harder to scare. Harder to sell lies to (👀 at you 🦊).Books teach kids how to slow down in a world that profits from outrage and hate. They teach how to hold nuance when everything is screaming for certainty and confirmation.Anti-intellectualism thrives on short attention spans, sound bites, and blind loyalty.

Reading does the opposite. So we read.

Not for grades.
Not for silly school prizes.
Definitely not to fill an assigned reading log (which crushes your child’s love of reading BTW).

But to raise kids who can think, reason, empathize, and recognize BS when they see it.In a culture that punishes curiosity, choosing books is a quiet, radical act.Reading is resistance. Oh, and FDJT and everyone who supports him and his administration✌🏻
The best time was 2016, the next best time is NOW. The best time was 2016, the next best time is NOW.Intelligent people can change their minds based on new information. They can believe their own eyes and ears. You can do it.I have to believe there are so many more people who have realized how wrong they were…If that’s you, speak up. Speak up now.

You need a home, a child, and a daily practice.Resistance looks like raising boys who can feel without lashing out.

Raising girls who speak up without shrinking themselves.

Teaching kids how to think, not just comply.

Refusing cruel jokes. Naming harm. Choosing empathy on purpose. When the world feels loud, chaotic, and out of control, these small acts matter more than ever.

They shape who our children become and what they will tolerate now and in the future.Focus on what you can build.
Focus on who you are raising.
